SKYE BORGMAN, was born in Alaska and raised in Oregon. Growing up she loved Tarzan movies, National Geographic and being outside. She established The Borgman Detective Agency when she was 10 and got her first glimpse of fame when she solved The mystery of the missing goat.
She was a small town girl in a big city world, and that frustrated her.
Skye moved to the city to attend Cornish College of the Arts. She was one of the first to create a program that fit her needs rather than the other way around. By synthesizing lighting, directing, writing and acting into one cohesive track, Skye graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts.

Skye found herself working in a bar more than in the theatre. Frustration hit again, so in 1995 she left the states. Living in Bulgaria, Korea, Japan, Indonesia and China and traveling to over 60 different countries Skye was far from being that small town girl. She bought her first camera in Tokyo and started painting with light through the lens.

She moved to Los Angeles in 2000 with the intention of fusing photography, travel, and momentum. She received her MFA from USC's Film Production program, and has been working as a cinematographer on both narrative and documentary films ever since.
